A Day Well Spent
“We all love the feeling of ending a day filled with productivity. It feels good to know we’ve used our time well, crossed items off our to-do list, and accomplished a lot.
Productivity is not bad; it’s usually a sign of a good work ethic and an organized life. But if productivity becomes your idol, if checking items off your to-do list becomes your life goal, it’s time to take a step back.
Life isn’t simply about producing; it’s about living for the Lord, loving Him, and showing His love to others. Yes, God loves to see you use your talents and gifts, and He calls you to be a good steward of your resources and time.
But He also desires your time and attention. And if you choose to put the Lord first in your day, it will have been a day well spent—regardless of what else gets done.
Father, help me focus on my relationship with You more than my accomplishments this day.” (Rest)
