God’s Transformative Walk

“It’s a great comfort to know that God, by His Spirit, is at work in us. And He is working toward the specific goal of making us more like Jesus. Imagine being more prayerful, more aware of God’s voice, more available to Him, more yielded to the Father’s will.

Of course this process of God’s making us more like His Son takes time, and during this process we will know pressure from culture, family, and friends. Pastor Rick Warren wrote in his blog post ‘Becoming Like Jesus Is a Slow Process’

God is far more interested in who you are than in what you do. We are human beings, not human doings…

Jesus did not die on the cross just so we could live comfortable, well-adjusted lives. His purpose is far deeper; He wants to make us like himself before He takes us to heaven. This is our greatest privilege, our immediate responsibility, and our ultimate destiny. (pastorrick.com)

Since we can’t remake ourselves, let’s yield all we are to our good God to do the transformative work He wants to do…(Thankful)
