Remember
“Many people go to great lengths to commemorate September 11, 2001. But other people believe it’s time to stop focusing so intently on that heartbreaking day. Both viewpoints are understandable. Sometimes we have to guard against getting trapped in our grief because life goes go on after a tragedy. On the other hand, nearly three thousand people died in the attack, meaning that countless Americans lost loved ones that day.
When we lose someone we love, we can continue to live while also remembering. Grief is not something that magically ends one day. We’re forever changed by those we’ve loved and then lost, whether a spouse, a parent or grandparent, a miscarried child, or a dear friend. Once we’ve loved someone, that person is forever engraved on our hearts—as we are forever engraved on the heart of God. It’s good to remember…” (Love)
