Know My Heart
“Have you ever confessed one of your deepest, darkest secrets…and then walked with trepidation for a response? Hopefully, that response was filled with love and grace—for we’ve all fallen short of God’s perfection. But if it wasn’t this truth: God already knows all your deepest, darkest sins, and He still loves you.
In Psalm 139, the psalmist asks God to search his heart, to know his thoughts, and to lead him. Why? Because he knows that God is a caring God who desires to make him more like Christ. While some believers may simply want God to look as their outward acts of service and compassion, the psalmist asks God to look within.
When you ask God to examine you, He’ll show you how to be more pleasing to Him. He’ll lead you on the right path, and He’ll transform your life inside and out. He will wash you spotlessly clean of every sin. Rest in the safety and certainty of knowing that you are His own beloved child… (Rest)
