Comfort in a Broken World
“Jesus predicted that in this world we would have trouble, and the truth of that can be overwhelming at times. Our world is full of greed, ugly politics, starving families, impoverished countries, and life/threatening crime. The news headlines are often shocking and disturbing. Sometimes it seems that the world can’t get any worse—but then it does.
When the world’s brokenness is too much to hear, turn your eyes to Jesus. Perhaps that sounds like a cliche, but He is the only way to find comfort and peace in this broken world.
Jesus walked this earth. He understands the burden you feel, because He experienced it too. But He overcame this world, and He rose up from the grave to give you eternal life. He conquered sin and death; evil doesn’t get the final word. Jesus came so that we could have hope. Turn to Him, and let Hin turn your sorrows into gladness, your weariness into rest… (Rest)
