Finding Strength in Rest
“…when we don’t get enough rest, we slowly begin dropping—one by one—all those balls we’ve been juggling. Our time with God, our time with family and friends, our work, and our other interests begin to suffer, and it’s not a good feeling.
If you think resting is a sign of weakness, think again. Those who are strong give themselves the rest they need. Even the most perfect man who walked the earth—Jesus—recognized when His human body needed rest, and He took for it. Rest doesn’t make you weak; it makes you strong.
So let yourself rest so you can perform well in your job, so you can be present with your family and friends, and so you can be dependable and strong for those who need you…” (Rest)
