Hope and Healing
“You understand the value of living thankfully, but sometimes your heart is broken and hurting. When that’s the case, know that when you go before the Lord in your pain, your actions themselves speak gratitude that He is there for you. Your drawing close in prayer is an act of thankfulness that you don’t have to perform for Him, that you don’t need fancy words to approach Him, and that you don’t have to fake a gratitude you don’t feel.
God doesn’t want you to waste energy putting on a brave face—you can’t fool Him anyway! God knows your heart without your saying anything, although sharing with Him everything about your pain and sadness—what you’re thinking, how you’re feeling, what you’re worried about—can help you heal.
When you are in pain, don’t try to ignore it. Only openness and honesty will help. Approach your Heavenly Father and thank Him for listening, for holding you close, and for healing your broken heart…(Thankful)
