Real Comfort
“…When our hearts are breaking, we want to be with people who have known pain and asked hard questions. Even if our experiences aren’t exactly the same, someone who has suffered loss brings comfort like no one else can, even if the person simply sits with us and doesn’t say a word.
God doesn’t offer platitudes. He has experienced every kind of pain we’ve experienced, and He understands our sufferings because He watched His own Son die on the cross. God’s comfort is real because He suffered the loss of a child. He knows betrayal, and His heart has been broken.
Just as God comforts you in your brokenness, He can use you as a source of real comfort for others…” (Peace)
