Structuring a Rest-Filled Week
“The days have a tendency to fly by, leaving you out of breath and out of energy, and you’re not sure how to change your situation. Have you ever considered structuring your week so it’s more conducive to rest?
Make a schedule at the beginning of the week and fill in all of your must-do items. As you list them, ask yourself if any of items can be shared or altered. Can you figure out a carpool for your kids? Can you share meal preparation with a spouse or a friend? Can you use the alone-time you do have—during your commute, early in the morning, or on your lunch break?
After seeing the structure of your week, you may be able to tweak it and allow yourself a time of rest every day. A rest-filled week won’t simply fall into your waiting arms, it takes discipline and planning, but it will be worth it… (Rest)
