Thirsting For Peace
“…There is nothing as wonderful as the rain from heaven. In response to the rain, the plants show their joy and contentment by growing bigger and stronger and turning more lush.
..We can go for quite a while with a little watering, but we begin to show how sun-scorched and parched—how needy—we are.
We may become irritable, easily frustrated, angered, and overwhelmed. When we see these warning signs, we need to call upon the Lord to send rain.
…When we cry out for God, forsake our sin, and—as a result of His forgiveness and transforming love—serve those in need, the Lord will in turn provide for us.
We can know His soul-satisfying peace only if we ask for it.
