Your Relationship With Stress
“To truly enter into God’s Rest, you might need to take a look at your relationship with stress…
If you’re ready to be rid of stress, first see it for what it is—toxic to your physical, mental, and spiritual health. Then change your values: learn to appreciate serenity, health, and rest more than those things that cause stress…
Break up with stress by focusing on your relationship with God. When your priorities line up with His, you’ll find that His love is enough and His Rest is priceless.”(Love)
I need to take this devotional to heart. In the spring, I was doing too much and it manifested itself with pain near my sternum. I stopped all the training I was doing for my two blogs and put on hold my blog on cooking real foods. I saw my doctor and he prescribed two medications which when taken relieve the pain. In September, I want to be careful not to stress myself out by overcommitting.
This is good to bear in mind when events occur that are out of our control.
I’ve had both my grandsons in the hospital this week. That’s definitely cause for stress! But it’s our reaction to the situation that really matters. If we are God’s children, we know God is in total control. We can have that assurance that He will never leave us and will get through the difficulty.
