Your Story
“What is your story? What inspired, changed, or shaped your life? What struggles have you overcome? Reflect on how telling your story could inspire someone else. To share your story, begin by writing down an outline of the major events of your life. What was your life like before you became a Christian? In particular, write down your challenges and emotional state. Then write about your encounter with Christ. What events led up to the moment you became a Christian? Where were you? Why did you choose to follow Christ? Be sure to write about how you felt in that moment. Finally, write about how Christ has changed your life and the joys you are now experiencing. Once you have fulfilled writing your story, be ready to share it with others.
As you think about your life, and particularly your struggles, you may discover new lessons you learned. Your story is part of your legacy and can bring hope to listeners. Sharing how God has used your life and changed you is a powerful witness of your faith. Your story will especially bring hope to people who are struggling with similar problems that you have dealt with and overcome…” (Hope)
