You’re Not Big Enough
“You’re all grown up now. You’re sophisticated enough to drive, to vote, to have your own job, your own house, and your own family. And you’re also big enough to make a pretty sizable jumble of relationships, of your career, and of the plans you have for your life. But—and this is so important—you are not big enough to destroy God’s plans for your life.
You may have it all figured out—or at least think you do—when suddenly all the pieces you’ve so carefully set into place crumble. And you’ve turned everything upside down—or at least think you have. But again, here’s a little comfort and grace and reassurance: you’re not big enough to derail God’s plans for your life.
You’re not that strong or sovereign. But God is big enough, strong enough, and sovereign enough to take that disaster of yours and convert it into a golden opportunity. Just surrender it all to Him.
You’re all grown up, but you’re not all-powerful. If you’ve upset your circumstances so thoroughly you’re sure God can never redeem them, don’t worry…you’re just not big enough for that…” (Thankful)
