Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.
“Do you ever feel you read God’s Word but you miss the delight? You read the words, but they don’t seem to stick with you as you go throughout the day. Many times we miss out on the joy of the Lord’s instruction because we read but don’t meditate.
The psalmist said that the person who delights in the reading of God’s Word and meditates on it day and night is blessed. To live joyfully, we must take what He’s taught us and meditate on it during our days and into the night.
If we delight in His Word, God will bring appropriate truths to our minds when we encounter troubles or disappointments in our day-to-day walk. This is just one benefit of focusing and meditating on the things of God. When we begin to feel burdened, we will look up and wait expectantly for Him (Psalm 5:3)…” (Joyful)
